Gold Button Glass Studs Handmade by Helen Chalmers Jewellery
Helen specialises in the use of hot glass and supplementary materials created in an oxygen/propane mix flame with a technique known as 'lampworking'.
Each pair of earrings are handmade from sculpted hot glass, 24 carat gold leaf and surgical steel backs. The glass has been shaped freehand, so the earrings are not identical, but still a matching pair.
Surgical Steel is hypo-allergenic. The steel backs are fused into the glass while it is still hot, so no glue.
